The depository LIBO believes, to the best of its knowledge, that the copyright of the books that are made available intheir entirety has already expired, thus, the books fall in the public domain, while the remaining books that are still in copyright are published with only 5% snippets.

In its effort to make knowledge accessible, the O.Olzycz Library of Zhytomyr is availing through its website and catalog a number of Ukrain books in digital format. The Library of Zhytomyr believes, to the best of its knowledge, that the copyright of the books that are made available in their entirety has already expired, thus, the books fall in the public domain. While the remaining books that are still in copyright are published with only 5% snippets. As such, all books are made available in accordance with the general legal provisions of the Ukraine Law and the internationalstandard (Berne Convention and TRIPS Agreement).

However, some of the books present a special case where we were not able to find any information on their authors, publishers, or date of publication. These books are also published digitally in their entirety as they generally fall in a category internationally known as "Orphan Works".

Should a right holder identify any of these works as their legitimate right and we have erred in publishing it in full,please contact the O.Olzycz Library of Zhytomyr and only snippet of the book will be made available.
